    • Installing the privileged helper from the sheet that appears before a scan looked exactly like pressing a button that does nothing. The install was working as designed — it refuses a build signed for development and explains why — but of the three places that offer it, this was the one that showed nothing at all. It now gives the reason, the way the permission wizard and Settings already did.

    • When a check finds a new version, the app says so where you already are: in the menu bar panel next to Empty Trash, and at the bottom of the sidebar beside Full Disk Access and Helper. Both name the version and install it when pressed. Until now an update was announced only inside the updater’s own window, which meant finding it required going to look for it.

    Fixes

    • Installing the privileged helper from a build signed for development appeared to do nothing at all. macOS accepted the registration and then refused to start the helper on every attempt, silently. The app now recognises that it is not the released build and says which one to open instead.

  9. 0.2.0-3

    Fixes

    • “Check for Updates…” was greyed out and stayed that way for as long as the app was running, in both the menu and Settings. It works now.
    • The updater never started at all if you used the app only from the menu bar and never opened the main window, so a copy left in the menu bar would not have found this release on its own.
    • Trying to install the privileged helper from a build that is not the released one failed with a codesigning number and no explanation. It now says what is wrong and what to open instead.

    Improvements

    • The update check is in the menu bar panel too, next to Empty Trash and Quit, so it is reachable without opening anything.

  10. 0.2.0-2

    Improvements

    • Nothing in the app itself changed. This build exists to prove the update path: whether a copy of 0.2.0-1 is offered this release, downloads it, verifies its signature, installs it, and comes back with its privileged helper still answering. That is not something a test can establish — it needs two real releases.
    • The release tooling behind it did change. Notarisation, disk image creation and appcast generation each had a failure that only appeared when a release was actually cut, and all of them are fixed.

  11. 0.2.0-1

    Features

    • First public release. Seven scans: Quick Care, Cleanup, Performance, Applications, My Clutter, Disk Map and Force Delete.
    • Everything found is moved to the Trash by default, and every operation is written to a journal first so it can be undone.
    • Uninstalling an app removes the files it left behind — caches, preferences, support files and login items — not just the bundle.
    • Force Delete handles files that refuse to go: locked, in use, or owned by the system.
    • A privileged helper does the work that needs root, through a narrow typed XPC contract. No shell commands cross the privilege boundary, and the helper re-checks every path itself.
    • A menu bar panel with live memory, CPU, network, battery and thermal readings.
    • Automatic updates, checked once a day and verified with an EdDSA signature before anything is installed.
    • After an update the privileged helper is re-registered, so the daemon runs the build you just installed rather than the previous one.
    • English and Vietnamese throughout.

    Known limits

    • Some scans are still partial and say so on their own screen rather than pretending to be complete.
    • Requires macOS 14 or later, and Full Disk Access for a scan to see everything that matters.
