The short version: MacCleaner does not send us anything about you or your Mac.

What leaves your Mac

One request, to fetch the list of available versions when the app checks for updates. It carries nothing but the version you are on, because that is what decides whether there is anything newer to offer.

What we never collect

No analytics, no crash reporting, no identifiers, and no account. We do not know which files you scanned, what was found, or what you chose to remove — none of that is sent anywhere, because none of it needs to leave your Mac to be useful to you.

What stays on your Mac

Scan results, the journal of what was deleted, and your settings are written inside your own user library and go nowhere else. Deleting the app removes them with it.

Permissions, and why

Full Disk Access is what lets a scan see the caches and leftovers that matter; without it the results are incomplete. The privileged helper exists only to remove paths the system owns, and it is installed when you approve it and removed when you say so.
